TRES LECHES CAKE

Tres Leches Cake or Three-Milk Cake is a sponge cake soaked in three kinds of milk that’s why it’s called Tres Leches. Tres means three and Leche means milk. The extra moist cake is topped with whipped cream, cinnamon powder and fruits (if desired). The ultimate cake to indulge with!

This cake was made without butter and just plain flour (all purpose flour) was used. It came out super light and airy. TRES LECHES CAKE RECIPE

Ingredients:

​1 cup all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
5 large eggs, room temperature, separated
2/3 cup + 3 tbsp granulated sugar
1/3 cup whole milk
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
​For soaking:
1 tall can (12 oz) evaporated milk
1 can (14 oz) condensed milk
1/4 cup whole milk
​For whipped Topping:
2 cups heavy whipping cream
2 tbsp granulated sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
ground cinnamon for topping
